Worship Music - Tell Me Again

Steve Baney © 1998
G D C D
Lord Jesus, You died on Calvary
G D C D
Took my sin away so I could be
C D G Em
In Your presence, in this place
C D G
To see Your eyes, to see Your face

C D G
Tell me again
       C D G Em
'Cause last time I was not listening
C D G
Show me Your love
C D G Em D
Tell me again I'm listening now

G D C D
Now finally my ears are open wide
G D C D
My heart is not calloused, come inside
C D G Em
I've heard Your truth and now I see
C D G
I've lived my life so sinfully

Hear It
I'll add an mp3 for this song soon.

Tips for playing the song
Pick during the verse, then do a combination of strum and mute during the chorus.

About the lyrics
The first time I sung this song for corporate worship, I was a guest at a chapel. I didn't know it ahead of time, but the service was especially for the deaf and hard of hearing. At first, I was frustrated that I was asked to sing a song about listening to people who could not hear. Then I realized, they struggle to hear God as much as I do. There were times when I heard the Good News, but it never made its way from my ears to my heart. Thank goodness someone told me again and again. This song asks God to say again whatever I need to hear. And it is a reminder to us to be patient when others don't hear our message from the Lord.

Using This Song
If you'd like to use this song for personal or group worship, go for it. I wrote it as a expression of worship to our Lord. Please let me know if you decide to use this song. It will be a great encouragement to me!
